National Standards for Mental Health Services
Standards developed by the Department of Health and Ageing that can be used as a guide to service enhancement and continuous quality improvement, a tool to inform consumers and carers about what to expect from a mental health service and as a check list for service quality.  depressioNet is commited to the continuous improvement  process and uses the Standards as a checklist and guidance for the development of its services.

Quality Framework for Telephone Counselling and Internet-based Support Services
The Quality Framework lists core elements, their purpose and guidelines to promote the development and delivery of high-quality telephone counselling and internet-based support services.  depressioNet is heavily involved in the development of the framework with the Department of Health and Ageing and other relevant organisations within the field of telephone and online counselling.  The Framework helps depressioNet determine the scope for improvement, and to develop an action plan and monitor progress to improve services for consumers.

Fundraising Institute of Australia Principles and Standards of Fundraising Practice
depressioNet is an organisational member of  the Fundraising Institute of Australia and adheres to all
Principles and Standards of Fundraising Practice.  The Principles are the overarching ethical codes that apply to all fundraisers and the Standards focus on specific disciplines of fundraising practice.

member of the Australian Organisation for Quality (AOQ).  AOQ is a not-for-profit committed to meeting business quality and management needs.  It focuses on assisting individuals and organisations to access leading edge business quality information, and professional development and training.

ISO 9001:2008 specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organisation:

  • needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide services that meet client and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and
